Crate training is the way to go!

okay, at first I felt really bad about locking him up in "doggy jail" at night and while we were at work. But, I can't stress enough how glad I am that I followed through. Riley is a chewer, I mean he chews or rather attempts to eat everything he can get his paws on. I really don't know how people manage a puppy without a crate. I'd hate to see what my house would look like if he were loose while we were out. Its also really helped with house training. The really great thing is he doesn't seem to mind it. He settles down nicely for the night after a busy day.

Introducing Riley!

We are first time puppy parents to a Schnoodle (Shnauzer/Poodle mix) named Riley. He looks more schnauzer than poodle, but really has a cute "scruffy" look to him. He was born on August 15, 2006 so is just over 4 months old. Since this is our first time having a puppy we are finding that there is a lot to learn. We are in the process of puppy training. Riley has amazed me at how quick he is to train. We've only had him since the beginning of December and he is almost fully potty trained.
